Peg Hawkins has retired as Assistant to the Vice President, Arthur O’Neill, at the Carroll Center for the Blind in Newton, MA USA.  In the course of her 16 years with the company she coordinated the SailBlind Program, which has participated in all the World Blind Sailing Championships held to date; traveling, as Team Manager, to Great Britain, Miami, Fl, Italy, Newport, RI, and New Zealand.  Peg has also served as Treasurer of Blind Sailing International since March, 2009, a role which will be passed to Danette Davis of Team USA California.  Although Peg expects to stay involved with blind sailing, she will be spending time with her 6 children and 10 grandchildren, enjoying the beach and her garden, and doing some travelling.
