Membership in BSI can consist of a team or teams representing blind sailors of that country or state. Affiliation or association with the national sailing authority is encouraged.  Annual dues from each BSI member country or state is set at $50US.

All countries and states may apply for membership in writing giving evidence of their involvement with the effective control and promotion of blind sailing within their country or state.  Approval or non-approval may be granted by the Executive.   

State Membership may be granted in countries that are divided into states and where no country representation exists.  Where more than two state members exist within a country, they will be required to apply for country membership. 

Groups or individual blind sailors wishing to participate in BSI are encouraged to contact their regional BSI representative or the BSI Chairman:
